Iiiiiiin West Philadelphia, Born and Raised…

The marvellous year 6 have outdone themselves…

This summer term, I set 6CC, 6AF, 6JP and 6RG the task of learning the theme tune to early 90’s TV classic, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

The next challenge was to collaborate as a year group to create an accompanying music video to showcase and celebrate their creativity.  The result can be enjoyed below:

Needless to say I am exceedingly proud of their efforts.  Please show your appreciation by sharing encouraging comments in the space below for the whole Rosendale community to see!

The Best(ival) at the Festival

Once again our fine Rosendale musicians shared their musical flair, technical facility and innate showmanship with a public audience, this time as part of the Herne Hill Music Festival 2015.

Performing at St. Saviour’s Hall alongside other local talent, they stole the show yet again!  See for yourselves how our mighty Orchestra flexed their musical pecs with a fun repertoire that encorporated singing (“What You Talkin’ Bout?“, an adaptation of “Jungle Music” by The Specials AKA feat. Rico), choreography and solo improvisations (“Ball of Fire” by the Skatelites):

Not to be outdone, our fabulous Steel Pan Group weighed in with a brief but hugely satisfying selection of material.  See them perform “Heart On My Sleeve” by Gallagher and Lyle:

As always, I am exceedingly proud of you all and am looking forward to even more performances in 2016!  Bravo!
